Community Protection Supply Program
The Community Protection Supply Program provides essential public health supplies to individuals, families, schools, community groups, and fiscally sponsored community initiatives in order to reduce the spread of airborne illness and support safer shared environments. This program recognizes that access to personal protective equipment (PPE) and rapid testing is a critical part of infection prevention and community health, especially for populations that have limited financial resources or lack consistent support from traditional public health systems.
Through this program, we source, receive, and distribute in-kind donations of protective supplies such as high-filtration masks (for example N95, KN95, and KF94) and rapid COVID tests. These supplies are shared free of charge with community members and with grassroots groups that we fiscally sponsor. This structure allows emerging community-led initiatives to operate under our nonprofit umbrella so they can access resources, receive supplies, and distribute them to their local communities without facing administrative or financial barriers on their own.
The Community Protection Supply Program operates with the belief that clean air and disease prevention are human rights. Equitable access to protective supplies is a key foundation of community resilience and health. In addition to distributing supplies, the program also provides guidance on safe usage, storage, and best practices so that supplies are used effectively and responsibly.
Program goals include:
Increasing equitable access to high-quality protective supplies
Reducing transmission of airborne infectious diseases in community settings
Strengthening community-led public health efforts through fiscal sponsorship support
Supporting families, schools, workplaces, and community groups in creating safer environments
Reducing financial and logistical barriers for low-income and high-risk households
Intended beneficiaries include:
Immunocompromised and medically vulnerable individuals
Low-income households and caregivers
Schools, educators, and students
Grassroots community groups and fiscally sponsored initiatives
Essential workers and community service providers
Individuals in high-exposure, crowded, or shared environments
By ensuring that vital protective supplies reach those who need them most, the Community Protection Supply Program helps build healthier and more resilient communities. The program centers dignity, access, and community care so that protective resources are not provided based on privilege, but based on need and collective wellbeing.
